Hey, today I want to talk about why people in businesses don’t ask for referrals. The answer is basic human nature. If it were easy you would do it, but it’s hard. Why is it hard? It’s hard for a number of reasons. It can be awkward for you and for your clients. But second is most people lack a system to ask consistently. The reason is mostly because of skills and emotional competence. If you had the skills you would probably have more courage.
If you had more courage you would probably do it more often to have the skills. But for people to be great at asking for referrals and deriving those and in fact having consumers also refer you and endorse you when they do, takes a lot of things coming together. You’ve got to have the courage, the skills, and a system.
Whatever your solution is, look for one that automates all that for you. So no matter how you feel on a given day or moment you’re assured that that 83% are going to be asked for referrals in ways that convert them to become one of your ideal clients.
